As December rolls in, we review the top games released in November 2015 so you can see our recommendations for games you might have missed, but shouldn’t. November was a good month for Android games, with a number of major titles launched and the usual gamut of indie and smaller titles. Here’s our list on what you should have on your device.
NBA 2K16
We all know that 2K Games has been the absolute top dog when it comes to console and PC basketball games, with its leading NBA 2K series almost on everyone’s “want” list. In November, they released the mobile version of the game – NBA 2K16 – and all you hoop lovers out there shouldn’t probably go without it. Of course, it won’t stack up to scale if you compare it to the console version, but NBA 2K16 for Android still gives you b-ball gaming goodness within your reach. The game allows you to play three different modes – the season, blacktop and career. Just make sure your mobile device is able to hack the graphics requirements before you fire up the game.

Quick Boy
Quick Boy is one of those new games that seem to mix and match genres and gameplay structure. A lot of games have been doing this strategy these days to give gamers something new to experience. Quick Boy is a side-scrolling endless runner that’s also an action game. Set in a post-apocalyptic world where zombies have overrun society, the player’s job is to deliver packages to citizens without getting caught by the zombie herd. There are power-ups galore to help you speed through the more than 70 levels of solid gaming.

Minecraft: Story Mode
Minecraft is one of the biggest titles on mobile these days, bringing its own flavor of nostalgic 8-bit/16-bit graphics in a free play, free build world. But if you fancy a little bit more structure to the gameplay, Telltale Games have teamed up with original developers Mojang to give users something they have been waiting for for quite a fair bit of time now – a story mode. Minecraft: Story Mode allows you to play through a storyline and make certain decisions which affect the outcome of the game. The game also features some pretty awesome voice acting, so this one is an easy sell.

RAD Boarding
This game is just for the most essential part of mobile gaming – the gameplay itself. No need to think so hard, just move your snowboard from left to right and land sweet tricks on a post-apocalyptic environment that gives you a lot of obstacles and challenges where you can do your tricks on. The better your tricks, the higher your score. Gaming at its most simple.

Prune
Here’s a puzzle game for those who don’t have the patience to go through very arcade-y type games. Prune is a puzzle game with a very Japanese aesthetic to it. The object of the game is to prune (yes, Captain Obvious) the branches of a sakura tree so that it grows upward and towards the sun. The levels get more difficult as the game progresses, and the artwork is visibly done in Japanese style. This is a very simplistic puzzle game that should appeal to those who have simpler tastes in mobile games.
