We’re not really sure sometimes as why some OEMs bring in a different name for some smartphone models, but let’s give them the benefit of the doubt that they know what they’re doing, at least marketing-wise. The LG Class, recently launched in South Korea a month ago, is now being introduced to the European market, Italy first, as the LG Zero, an all-aluminum 5-inch smartphone, which seems to look premium, but with specs and price that places it at a mid-level range.
The smartphone has a 5-inch HD display with a 2.5D curvature and a resolution of 720p and has a size of 141 x 71.8 x 7.4 mm and weighs 147 grams. It runs on a Qualcomm processor Snapdragon 410 quad core at 1.2GHz, with a 1.5GB RAM and a 16GB internal storage but expandable through the usual microSD card. In terms of the camera, it’s slightly better than most mid-range devices, with a 13MP main camera and an 8MP front-facing camera, which of course in simpler terms is your selfie cam.
Connectivity wise, it has support for an LTE network. Battery wise, it has a 2050 mAh one which isn’t that great, but is just decent. Android wise, it will have Lollipop, but no Marshmallow yet. But probably, it will be upgraded to the latest build, we’re just not sure when that will be.
The LG Zero will be available in Italy by the end of November. Users can choose either a gold or silver color, which can work well with aluminum of course. If you’re in Italy, you’ll be able to buy this rebranded smartphone by the end of November. Price is pegged at €299 which isn’t that far from the launch price in South Korea.
