If you have a lot of ongoing conversations with various people and several groups, sometimes all at the same time, it would be hard to remember the things you actually want/need to remember or there might be some things you’d want to read again later on but they’ll get lost in all the messaging fray. The beta update to WhatsApp will try to help you on that score, along with document support within you conversations, among other things.
If you’re on Twitter, you’re probably familiar with the starring of things to remember them and save them (although Twitter has now replaced it with hearts). With What’s App, it’s basically the same thing as you’ll be able to set aside that message for later consumption. Once you’ve starred it, you’ll be able to see all those messages in a special Starred Messages section.
The update also brings about search and support for PDF and other documents that you will share or others have shared with you. Now you won’t be lost anymore when you need to access files that are important in your ongoing conversation, or when you need to immediately send a file but you don’t remember the name or from which conversation it is. There are probably other new or additional things, since the APK file size has increased and also, 380 files have been changed.
As you may have suspected or you’ve been trying to search for it on the Google Play Store, the update isn’t available there yet. If you want to go ahead and try it first, you can download the file and install it on your device.
