The ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser which reached India back in early August is finally ready for purchase in the United States. This new ZenFone was launched at the ZenFestival event in India complete with a 13 megapixel PixelMaster camera with f/2.0 wide-aperture lens to produce high quality photos.
This is actually just a new version of the ZenFone 2 that ASUS launched earlier this year but with better features. Standard specs include a 5.5-inch display with 1080p resolution, dual SIM slots, 16GB internal storage, octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor, 3GB RAM, micro SDXC slot, and a 3000 mAh battery. Interestingly, this one doesn’t feature Quick Charge unlike in the first ZenFone 2.
Making this ZenFone 2 a “laser” phone is the PixelMaster 2.0 camera that comes with laser auto-focus. The results are laser-sharp images captured by the lightning-fast speed of the 13-megapixel rear camera. The latter also boasts of a wide-angle F/2.0 aperture lens with 5-elements and the dual LED real tone flash that is ideal for low-light conditions.
The ASUS ZenFone 2 features 4G LTE connectivity, a removable battery, fast laser autofocus on the camera, and Gorilla Glass 4 on the display. Don’t be too overwhelmed by the upgrades because the information on pricing will make you more excited and probably say it’s good value for money.
The ZenFone 2 Laser will cost only $199 and $249 for the 16GB and 32GB models. Watch out for this phone on the ASUS Store or at Newegg this November.
