More unlocked devices from BLU Products are coming your way. The leader in contract-fee phones in the US just announced the BLU Studio 7.0 LTE smartphone. It’s a new phablet-sized mobile device that impresses with its compact design. Seven-inch screens are considered as tablets before but looks like you can still use the size in a more compact form like this Studio 7.0. It’s something like last year’s Iconia Tab 7 and Iconia One 7 phablets from Acer.
The BLU Studio 7.0 LTE comes equipped with a 720p HD display–good enough for a small display but 1080p would have been better. Phablet features 4G/LTE, 64-Bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 8MP main camera with auto focus, 1080p HD video recording capabilities, 2MP front-facing cam, 16GB built-in storage, 1GB RAM, and a 3700 mAh battery. Phone already runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
Being used to phablets with 5.5- to 6.0-inch screens, the 7-inch screen of this BLU Studio is a bit awkward but the company assures you can still put it inside your pocket. According to BLU Products CEO Samuel Ohev-Zion, the standard now in smartphones is 5.5-inches so phablets should be bigger as “the demand in larger screen smartphones is rising”. He’s right actually since most of the latest premium flagship phones introduced this year start at 5-inches.
BLU Studio 7.0 LTE is now available on Amazon for only $190.58. That’s with free shipping already. Unit is supported by AT&T, T-Mobile, Metro PCS, Simple Mobile, Cricket, and Straight Talk among others. Available in four color variants: Navy Blue, Rose Gold, Midnight Grey, and Ceramic White.
