You’ve had fun having disposable mobile numbers at your beck and call, whether it is for security reasons or just for fun (good, clean fun we hope) through the Burner app, which is basically like burner phones except there are no phones to throw away. But now, it’s time to level up, and with the latest update, you get to do a lot more with your temporary number, including connecting it with apps you use often, and auto-renewing your lines with subscriptions.

We are of course familiar with having apps for our devices, but the Burner update now gives you apps specific for your burner phone numbers. Burner Connections lets you link your current number to apps that you frequently use, and for the initial run, you have four that you probably use and would like to connect to. For Dropbox, you can auto-archive voicemails and picture messages so even if you burn the number, you have saved the important stuff. Evernote can help you set up your SMS bot while Soundcloud can auto-post your voicemail to the account. Slack is of course for messaging and routing said messages to any channel you want.

Subscriptions is another new feature that comes with the update. Burner can now auto-renew your phone numbers, as long as you want to use it/them. And the best part is you get unlimited calls, texts, and pictures for just one price, which starts at $4.99.

Other inclusions in the update are caller blocking (in case you get any harassing phone calls), Android Marshmallow support, and of course the usual bug fixes and improvements. If you don’t have Burner yet, you can download it from the Google Play Store. You get your first burner number free.
