Fossil has been a trusted name for watches the past 30 years, but just like the other traditional watchmakers, it is also discovering that nowadays, people need more than just time from the things on their wrist. They are releasing a whole new line of Fossil Q wearables, 2 smartwatches and 2 activity bracelets, that bring together the quality and design that people expect from the brand, while also letting these accessories be connected and “ignite curiosity.”
The Q Grant looks like your average watch, but underneath of course, it is actually a pretty decent smartwatch, connecting with your smartphone, tracking your fitness activities, alerting you to the notifications you choose to be alerted to. You can also associate a color with a contact so that when they call or message, you’ll see the LED indicators light up with the respective color. The Q Founder is the first Android Wear smartwatch to have Intel inside of it. Its elegant package shows off Fossil’s classic design while at the same time the connectivity you expect from Android Wear devices.
If you don’t feel like wearing a watch, you can always go with the Fossil Q bracelets. The Q Reveler is a stylish bracelet that will keep you updated with what’s going on in your life through notifications and colored LEDs so you can color code your contacts as well. Meanwhile, the Q Dreamer is a fitness tracker that looks more like a fashionable bracelet. You can use a silicon band while working out then a leather band if you’re going to work. It also has the same notification, tracking, and customizing features that the others in the Q line offers.
The Q Reverler, Q Dreamer, and Q Grant will be available starting October 25 and the first two will cost $125 each while the third one will be from $175-$195. Meanwhile, the Q Founder will be available sometime later this year in time for the season and is a bit more expensive at around $275. Fossil will also be releasing a proprietary app that will connect the wearables to your smartphone.
