Just in time for summer a few months ago, Verizon Wireless proudly announced that it would be releasing the Sony Xperia Z4v in the United States. That didn’t receive much excitement though because the Xperia Z4v was another confusing name even there’s already the Xperia Z3+ and Xperia Z4 that are basically the same. The phone was said to offer a better display with more natural colors and enhanced color depth and gradation and more.
We didn’t even learn about the pricing but we expected that Verizon would make it available this summer in two colors: white and black. The model seemed promising what with the great specs but unfortunately, the mobile carrier recently announced it won’t be releasing the Xperia Z4v. No reason was given but Verizon assured that it’s still committed to supporting Sony Mobile.
Verizon published this statement as a quick update:
Verizon will no longer be launching Xperia Z4v, however we are committed to supporting Sony Mobile’s product portfolio and will support existing products. Sony is a strategic partner as we continue having ongoing discussions together as part of our future portfolio.
We’re not sure but we’re guessing Sony cancelled this one since the Xperia Z5 is already gaining a lot positive reviews, thanks to its superior camera and imaging techofnologies. If you’ve been anticipating to get the Sony Xperia Z4V, sorry but you can’t get it now from Verizon. It was supposed to be an exclusive carrier deal so I doubt if you can purchase it anywhere else in the country. Maybe it’s a sign you need to get that Xperia Z5 instead. Yes?
