With the number of Bluetooth speakers flooding the market, OEMs need to have a differentiating factor for their products in order to stand out (and to market the heck out of it as well). House of Marley has been producing some fine audio accessories, and their latest one, the Chant Sport is a speaker that boasts of eco-friendly design, waterproof capability, and a 360 degree sound chapter as well. Should it be enough to make a dent in the market?
When it comes to design and functionality, one doesn’t have to give way to the other, and Chant Sport tries to do both aspects exceptionally well. It has two 4.5 watt 1.75 inch drivers as well as a pair of passive radiators. It is eco-friendly because it is made up of recyclable aluminum, bio-plastic, and silicone. It is sized like a water bottle and if you drop it in water, it will float like one and still work because it is IPX7 water-resistant.
Quality-wise, the Chant Sport has a “360 degree sound chapter for uninhibited audio” so that wherever you place it, you’ll still be able to hear quality sound. It has a “booming sound” so listening to your audio is a blast. It can also be used as a speakerphone for when you need to make your calls, business or otherwise.
You can have the Chant Sport for just $119.99. It also come with a rechargeable li-ion battery that can make your speakers last for 8 hours. But if you want it wired, you can also use the auxiliary input. The speakers are now available through House of Marley.
