Haven’t you ever watched a sic-fi TV show or movie and thought to yourself, “Man, if this were a game or even real life, I would do things differently.” Well this new game on Android isn’t really based on a movie, but the complicated and intricate storyline does play out like one. Into the Void is a combination of RPG and TBS (turn-based strategy, if you’re unfamiliar with the term) game that is now on Android and may disrupt your life in the next few weeks.
The game’s story is like a new sci-fi fantasy movie you’d like to see in the theater. Humans were forced to abandon the earth centuries ago as the beloved planet has become encased by “The Miasma” or simply put, radiation, making it virtually uninhabitable. Four factions came out of this fracturing of the planet, and eventually, space: Auslia, En Eire, Kalthem and the Brigadier’s of Armageddon. Your role as part of an affiliation is to help stop the spread of the miasma to the rest of the universe, while at the same time, trying to keep the power-hungry factions in check.
In the game, you can build your own fleet, put a lot of weapons in it, command your faction, and go out and explore the universe in search for a home. There is also a bit of research involved in this game, as there are a lot of tech available that you shouldn’t use all at the same time. Each mission is different from the other as they are randomly generated. You get 16 main missions, 20 sub missions, more than 100 technologies, more than enough to keep you occupied for weeks.
You can download Into the Void from the Google Play Store for just $2.99. The good news is that it’s all in, so no more in-app purchases necessary.
