True blue running enthusiasts know very well that when you do your daily or regular runs, you don’t have just one tempo or one speed. They also know that music plays a very important factor in either avoiding boredom while running or getting you pumped up as you go the distance. That’s why when Spotify announced a new mode or feature called Spotify Running, a lot of users were excited. And now finally, it has arrived for Android devices.
Based on what you usually listen to, as well as carefully curated multiple-genre running playlists (and even some original running music), Spotify gives you a playlist that can accompany you as you run along, whether on a trail or on a treadmill. The best part is that it adjusts to your pace, and depending on the tempo that you choose, it will match the music to your step in order to further motivate you to go that one more mile.
Spotify uses your smartphone’s sensors in order to match the music to your pacing. So you would need to either hold it or wear it on an armband in order for the pacing to work properly. You can find Spotify Running within the app itself, but in a dedicated section and not as part of the primary music experience.
If you want to have Spotify accompany you in your running exercises, of course you would need to download the app on your device, if you haven’t yet. Then just click on the hamburger menu and look for the Running section and start playing it as you start your run.
