We all know that the Android platform is very much customizable, specifically when compared to a certain OS which shall remain nameless but we all know who it is. But then again, if an OEM gives you even more customization options, who are we to complain right? Samsung’s latest ad emphasizes the fact that their new Galaxy devices are “open to customization” and so your smartphone will “look and feel more like you.”

The usual way that you make your smartphone personal and just you is by either adding a case or skin or by changing your device’s wallpaper. But the new Samsung devices, in this instance the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ have added a few more features, like having themes that are pretty easy to install but also fairly easy to customize.

You can make it as hipster as your personality, or being more daring on your phone than in real life, or psyching yourself up for your next vacation trip, there seems to be more than enough options. The details on the ad were actually pretty sparse as to what exactly are these customization opens except to show various themes available like Material Design, various sports, several animals, etc.

It also mentions personalizing your apps and not having to search for your search bar (which admit it, some of us do). The VO says “your phone should be a reflection of who you are,” and this is what Samsung is trying to convince you that you can do with their new devices.

    • Misty, WTF would you F-up this Samsung post with your greedy subservient little C*nt-like attempt to rip people off with a worthless scheme?
You should be reprimanded, over drinks, by Bill Cosby.

  1. Samsung forgot to include the disclaimer at the end, spoken in a fast monologue, which states:

“Personalisation does not include personal choices, such as removable batteries, alternative batteries, external SD cards, or the removal of any bloatware. Personalisation only includes the cack we give you. Samsung acknowledges that everything you saw in this advert can already be done on any other/older android devices, due to these features being widely and easily available on many third-party apps, for free, at Google Play. Please buy a Galaxy Note 5. We’re desperate to shift these lemons.”
