We’re not quite sure if Samsung is trolling us with the already confusing Galaxy-Galaxy Grand-Galaxy Grand On-Galaxy Grand Mega On naming drama but a new model, what’s believed be the Samsung Galaxy Mega On was recently spotted on a benchmark test. We all know that if it’s not an FCC sighting, a benchmark test means the product is coming very soon. The phablet which we mentioned last month was discovered on Geekbench3 browser.
Before Samsung makes an official announcement, let’s check the information from the Geekbench 3 benchmark test. Phone scored 460 (single-core) and 1367 (multi-core), being powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor (only 1.40 GHz) which is the ‘MSM8916’ on the results but others are saying it could also be the Snapdragon 412. Whatever the processor will be, it’s expected to efficiently power that smartphone that will come complete with a 5.5-inch display, 720 x 1280 pixel resolution, 13 megapixel main camera, 5MP front-facing camera, 8GB built-in storage, and only 1GB RAM. Specs are not high-end but they’re okay for a mid-range phablet.
Not much specs have been shared. There’s even no mention yet of the battery size and capacity but the Samsung Galaxy Mega On will run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box. Maybe by the time the smartphone is released, Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be ready so phone should be easily updated.
