eBay has been around for 20 years, and a lot of people still use it as their go-to site for selling or looking for stuff to buy. And since the Internet has evolved a lot since they first started, it’s also time for them to evolve as well. One of the things they’ve done to celebrate two decades of existence is to give their mobile Android app a major update and make it easier for both buyers and sellers to use eBay on their smartphones or tablets.

Version 4.0 of the eBay app makes it easier for users to browse through all the items for sale that they’re looking for, and to see the top deals, promotions, and events. It also has now more customizable and personalized options, based on what you usually buy from eBay or what you browse for. So if the algorithms show that you often look at shoes, then all the latest deals for footwear will be easy to find for you.

But if you’re a seller, then this version will also be a lot better for you, as promised by the company. There are also “personalized” levels, depending on how active you are in selling or interacting with the eBay community. If you’re a newbie seller, you won’t find it that difficult to set up, navigate, and generally be successful in selling your items. There is also a new dashboard for those who regularly sell stuff though the app, and all the things you need to know about your inventory and sales impact can be seen here.

The app has been live on beta for the past month now, so whatever bugs and issues were reported for that period should have been cleaned up by now. The company reiterates that they are committed to “creating innovative, game-changing commerce” in this day and age that a lot of transactions are created online.
