I’m not really sure if people still use LinkedIn but apparently there are, some people in the hiring industry depend on the social network to look for new employees and connect with professionals. There are people on LinkedIn who take their accounts seriously too, in the hopes of landing a better-paying job or finding out to who among their peers are available. It’s one social platform that’s been used by millions but with features still limited. Sure, there is the blog section but messaging is not as easy and convenient on the platform.
Earlier this week, LinkedIn announced an updated messaging feature for professionals so they can easily reach out or connect with their contacts. You’ll now see a chat-style interface for a smoother and uninterrupted conversations. Last conversations are archived and organized so you can easily access them whenever you to need reference a message.
You can download the app from the Google Play Store so you can start having more meaningful conversations with your co-workers, employers, and colleagues. Feel free to attach important documents or photos within the messages. For a little more fun, GIFs, emojis, and stickers can be inserted (just make sure you’re still being professional). Group and on-one-one conversations are allowed so you can discuss more and be efficient.
There’s still the email and other instant messaging apps but messaging within LinkedIn makes conversations more meaningful. Professionalism is maintained here so you know that all discussions are for business purposes only. Simply put, LinkedIn messaging brings power to conservations that are otherwise losing their relevance in the enterprise business.
LinkedIn has updated the messaging features not only on the Android and iOS apps but also on the desktop web version. For now, the only language accessible is English but LinkedIn devs are already working on more languages.
