Video on demand streaming service Sling TV is continuing its Android invasion with the addition of several Amazon Fire tablets to their supported devices. You can now watch your streaming video on Amazon Fire HD and HDX tablets, just like the previous Amazon devices added like the Fire TV and Fire TV stick. New Sling TV customers who have the supported tablets will also get a 14-day free trial to see if they will enjoy having various blockbuster channels and shows on their tablets.
If you have Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, Fire HDX 7, Fire HD 7 or Fire HD 6 tablets, then you can now enjoy the more than 20 core channels of Sling TV, which includes ESPN, ESPN2, AMC, A&E, TNT, HISTORY, H2, TBS, Food Network, HGTV, Travel Channel, IFC, El Rey, Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, ABC Family, Disney Channel, CNN, Bloomberg TV, Lifetime and Galavisión. They have previously included other devices like Nexus Player, Roku players and Roku TV, Xbox One, Mac, PC, and of course Android smartphones and tablets to their ever-growing list of supported devices.
Services like Sling TV are slowly changing the way we view our TV shows as we want to watch when we want to and wherever we want to, not just on those boxes we call TV sets. Having all these services like Sling TV, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime video gives media aficionados more options as to how and where and when to watch.
For this particular promo, if you’re a new Sling TV user, just download the app through the Amazon Appstore on your Amazon Fire tablet (compatible models indicated above) and you will receive instructions in-app on how to access your 14-day free trial. When your trial ends, your credit card will be billed unless you cancel it.
