We talked a bit about the PowerAMP music player app back in November when the beta hit the Android Market. PowerAMP is doing well and the company has announced that the app will pass two million Android trial installs this week. The company also claims that since December the app has been the number one in multimedia and has a top three spot in rankings for all non-game apps.
The app has been updated to version 1.1. The paid app sells for $4.99 and has some nice updates added to the original. It supports Audio-focus Android 2.2 API allowing it to pause itself when a voice search is being performed. It has a dynamic play queue, customizable EQ presets that can be assigned on a per song basis or to a specific output.
The updated version gets new skins, support for FLAC 24bit/96khz tracks, improved WMA Pro/AMR/WAV support, and can delete duplicates in the playlist. Numerous other features were added with a new hierarchical folder view, sleep timer, and lots more. The new version can be downloaded right now.
