Probably one of the greatest fears of most people is to be trapped in a creepy chamber in a haunted manor, and the only way to get out is to solve some brain-scratching puzzles (okay, especially that last part). But if it’s a hypothetical situation in a mobile game, then yes, we would probably download it, especially if it’s for free. Escape Ep. Manor is one such game that will challenge your wits, make you a little scared (especially if you wear headphones), and give you a break from what we assume is your monotonous daily work life.
The scenario is that you are in a chamber and you need to unlock some mysteries and puzzles in order to get out. You will be guided by both visual and aural clues. The developer encourages players to wear headphones in order to better appreciate said clues, but even if you don’t listen to it, you will still be able to solve the puzzles. We suspect that the audio is just meant to scare and distract players. The 3D graphics give the game a realistic feel, and so the fear in the scary parts may be real too.
The mechanics are pretty easy to master. You just tap to zoom, zoom out with a down arrow, move left or right when you want to change the view, and if you need to use some of the items in the chamber, just drag them down. And if suddenly you need to pause in the middle of a game, it will be saved and you can just continue where you left off.
