Some of the current wearables in the market can be a bit confusing, as they serve both as fitness trackers and notification centers for your connected smartphones. But then there are those whose functions are pretty clear and their priority is that of focusing on measuring your fitness activities. The new Epson Runsense SF-110 knows what it’s supposed to be and hopefully, will do it well.

Because it is primarily designed as a fitness wearable, it helps keep runners, hikers, and other outdoor fitness enthusiasts on track by monitoring their steps taken through an integrated accelerometer, calories burned, distance, pace, time, laps, and altitude. It is also embedded with GPS tech to make monitoring a bit easier. You can customize the screen to reflect 9 different real-time measurements so that users can actually see at a glance how they’re doing. While it is water resistant, Runsense isn’t really meant for water activities.

You can download all this data recorded onto the Epson Run Connect mobile app, which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. You can also use this data to connect to other running apps like MapMyRun, Strava, etc. To speed up your GPS connections, you can turn on AGPS through the Run Connect app.

As for battery life, Epson claims that the wearable can last for seven days of fitness tracking or ten days if the GPS is turned on. You can buy the Runsense SF-110 for $139 through Epson.com or at specialty running retail shops. It is available in black, green, and light blue.
