There are a lot of wearables in the market that measure our fitness activities, but usually, they are all-in-ones. Rare is the product that focuses on just one fitness aspect, while also being flexible enough to include the others. Speedo Shine is one such gem, and it puts the spotlight this time on swimmers, as the wearable is “the world’s first activity, swim, and sleep tracker” that was designed specifically for those training or just exercising though water activities.
Sometimes when you’re doing your swim workout, you get distracted by counting your laps or you forget to count your laps because you’re too busy enjoying (or dying from) swimming. Speedo Shine removes that burden from you as it can give you “extremely accurate” lap counting, which should work for all kinds of strokes as well. And obviously, it is waterproof for up to 50 meters. At 8.6 millimeters and 3.3 millimeters at its edge, it is the thinnest in its wearable category.
When synced with the Misfit app for Android, it can show you not just your laps and swim distance, but as well as your calories burned and points earned. And when out of the water, you can also use it to track other activities like walking, running, cycling, and of course your light and deep sleeping. And since it uses coin cell battery for power, you never have to charge it and so all your activity tracking will be seamless.
Speedo Shine will be available soon in its Pure color (that’s light silver with a clear anodized aluminum) and the SRP is at $79.99. You will be able to buy it through Misfit.com, SpeedoUSA.com, as well as all Apple stores.
