Google Hangouts has just been improved to allow users a more efficient way of mobile communication and messaging. Texting, talking, and video calling are the most common ways to get any message across in this day and age. With Google Hangouts 4.0 for Android, avid users of the app can greatly benefit from the new features, improved speed, and the fresh new design and aesthetics.
Google Hangouts now boasts of Material Design elements. The app looks sleeker now for a more intuitive navigation and more fluid transition between tasks. You’ll also notice the app loads faster especially during a video call or when sending a message. The app developers have been working on speeding up Hangouts including fixing the bugs and errors to ensure that message delivery is more efficient. As a result, battery life can also last longer now than ever.
The redesigned Hangouts looks simpler. The contacts list now has a streamlined look while the new Compose button can easily start a conversation or group for endless chatting.
Google also made some changes to the call rates being offered. From the Hangouts Dialer, you can make more affordable voice calls now. You can also receive and send to group MMS messages via Google Voice in Hangouts. Meanwhile, the new Outbound Caller ID let’s you set which number or caller to block. Or if you have an Android Wear device, you can also make use of Hangouts simply by saying “Ok Google, send a Hangouts message”.
