Cosmonautica is one of the newest ones in the market, and you can become the best trader, smuggler, pirate, and even space taxi driver that you can be as you explore the world of space trading.
Cosmonautica brings you a simulated galaxy where trading is the name of the game. But of course, as with anywhere else in the universe, when you have trading, it brings along all kinds of elements, like pirate attacks, trouble from the trade federations, etc. What you need to do now is create a ragtag team, train your crew in the art of trading, and practice defending your ship and properties as well from those that would want to take all your loot for themselves. So yeah, there is a bit of battle element at times, aside from the more peaceful but elaborate trading simulation.
But you’re not all goody goody two shoe traders. You will also engage in a bit of hanky panky by trading some rare and illegal contra band, but of course the trick is not to get caught by the authorities. You will meet unique and interesting characters along the way, and you can also choose what kind of ship you’ll be going on, and customize and upgrade your vehicle’s features.
Cosmonautica is available at the Google Play Store for $6.99. It seems a pretty steep price for a game, but everything is all-in already, and the graphics and gameplay may be worth it, if you’re into space exploration type of games. It is also cross-platform, so if you like playing your games across different devices and OS, then the price tag should be acceptable.
