When you release the 3rd generation of any product, you should already have almost perfected it and worked out the kinks of the previous 2 incarnations. That’s what users are hoping for with the new JBL Flip 3, the newest addition to the cylindrical portable Bluetooth speaker line from Harman. This time around, the sound quality has been improved, as well as the durability and design of the speakers as well.
The Flip 3 is now offering “powerful sound” and better overall audio quality, including a richer base through the dual passive radiators. The speakerphone component of the product also has noise and echo collection so that using it to make and receive calls is now easier. There is now a JBL Connect button that allows you to pair more than one speaker for your device, especially if you’re trying to build a larger audio system. The new Flip 3 is boasting of a 10-hour battery life through a rechargeable battery.
The cylindrical speakers are also now built for more tumble and wear. It is made from rubber housing and a durable fabric. It is splash proof so you can take it in situations where there might be a little water around. It also claims that it can be clipped under the tap. The JBL Flip 3 comes in eight colors: black, blue, grey, pink, orange, read, teal, and yellow.
The new speaker from Harman is listed in the JBL UK website for £99. It is not yet appearing in the US website so there is no US dollar pricing as of now. It will be available in the UK starting July 23 but no word yet when it will be available elsewhere.
