Quantum Interface (Qi) has something new for all Android device users. There’s a new app launcher available but it’s still in beta form and is currently being tested. The company which is known for its motion-based interface architecture is bringing such technology in a simple launcher for Android phones and tablets. The idea is to use the Spread module of Qi to reveal the menu with a simple touch.

You won’t understand this unique motion-based interface if you don’t watch the video below:

The idea really is for the launcher to be accessed and controlled with very minimal gestures as it responds to even the slightest touch on the display. This Qi module used is expected to respond to the motion of the user and be as predictive as possible.

Officially called as QiLaunch, this app is said to change interaction and navigation on mobile devices because you can access and view multilevel menus with very little effort. No need to swipe long or press hard on an icon because a simple touch of your finger is enough.

App launcher is available in private beta. Quantum Interface is actually calling for more beta testers to ensure the app is ready before its release to the public. Fill this form if you’re interested to send feedback and help Quantum Interface in finalizing the app.
