A pair of headphones can always be improved and there’s no stopping people from coming up with their own innovations. It’s probably one device that I don’t really care about as long as audio quality is good. Sometimes, I really can’t tell the difference but I want crisp and clear sounds booming into my ears. And so this pair of Helix wearable headphones has caught my attention with its unique and stylish form.
The Helix is unique in a sense that it’s a wrist-wearable pair of headphones. You’d think it’s just like any other bracelet or fitness tracker that looks very trendy more than it’s functional. Who knew tech and fashion can go together? This Helix proves that principle without having to compromise form and function. The idea of the Helix is very simple: keep the headphones when not in use inside the cuff so they won’t get lost or anything.
No need to worry about where to put your headphones with a long cable because you can keep them inside the cuff. I can’t believe nobody else thought about this before but I’m just glad this project is now on Kickstarter. The music cuff is designed especially for those who are stylish and always on-the-go and who won’t be bothered by annoying cables or bulky accessories. The goal of Ashley Chloe, the team behind the headphones, is to offer impressive sound quality and at the same time, bring something modern, fashionable, and very useful.
Actually, there really is no long cable included. The wearable cuff comes with stereo Bluetooth headphones that you can pair with other Bluetooth-enabled devices. The loop design of the cuff allows the Helix to fit your wrist. There are three magnets on one side that lets you adjust the size of the device. The wired earbuds can easily be inserted into the cuff when not in use.
The HELIX Wearable Cuff with Stereo Bluetooth Headphones is a new project on Kickstarter. The designer hopes to raise $100,000 on or or before September 18, 2015. That’s 58 more days to go…still a long way but the startup has already received more than $20,000 from 165 backers.
