If you’re a huge Dragon Ball Z fan and love anything released that is connected to your beloved anime, then you were probably frustrated when the newest game from the franchise was released in Japan only. But now, Bandai Namco has announced that Dragon Ball Z Dokan Battle is now available to the rest of the world (well, still selected territories) and not just Japan anymore, where it enjoyed 15 million downloads in 3 months. Now it’s our turn to enjoy the intense Dragon Ball universe once again, this time on our Android devices.
The game’s story begins when Trunks’ Time Machine arrives on a planet that has a mixed-up Dragon Ball timeline and your purpose is to figure out who is behind this. You have to work together with Trunks to get things back in order before the universe is thrown into permanent chaos. You get to fight against all your familiar, favorite enemies from the animated series, this time on a board-game-style gameplay. Along the way, you get power-ups and items that will help you along in your quest.
You can also assemble your “dream team” of various characters, some of which when you put together, you can activate Link Skills that are more powerful than your ordinary skills. If you want to experience Super Sonic Combat, tap on the powerful Ki spheres, although the developer warns that your screen might not be able to totally handle it (well, just a bit of an exaggeration, don’t worry).
You can download Dragon Ball Z Dokan Battle for free from the Google Play Store. There are in-app purchases available as well.
