If you hear the person beside you just “wuuuwing” at their smartphone, don’t worry, they’re not scaring their device into submission. Most probably, they are playing a game called, what else, WUUUUUUUUUUUU. The only way to win is by talking to your smartphone, and telling it, you guessed it, WUUUUUUUUUUUU until the creatures that you are helping finally get home to the house they’re supposed to be in. This simple but highly unique game is now available on Android devices.
The mechanics are simple enough, but how you’ll do it is a bit challenging, not to mention, noisy. You need to bring the creatures to their respective matching houses, like the blue ones should go home to the blue house, etc. The creatures are standing on a water-like structure with a face and facial reactions. In order to get it to rise or go down, you need to say WUUUUUUUUUUUU or not at your screen. If you want it to drop, just don’t say anything. If you want it to raise, be a WUUUUUUUUUUUU-er and tell it to do so.
But you have to be careful and not WUUUUUUUUUUUU too much, otherwise the creatures you’re trying to help might be crushed by the spikes located on top of the screen. You can also play it with other people, like with your friends or with students in a class, so you’ll have someone else to WUUUUUUUUUUUU with you.
You can download WUUUUUUUUUUUU for free from the Google Play Store. Just be prepared for the strange looks you’ll get. Or you can use that as a conversation starter and make new friends along the way. Woohoo!
