If you watched Alfonso Cuaron’s award-winning film Gravity, you’ve probably wondered what it would be like if you were trapped in space, all alone, with just your spaceship with you. Well, you can live it out somewhat through the mobile game Out There. And the best news is that it now has an updated version with the Omega Edition, and it comes with updated graphics, new chapters to explore, and new spaceships to explore it with.
If you’re not familiar with the game yet, Out There is a critically acclaimed and hugely popular space-based roguelike game that lets you figure out how to get back home after being lost in space all alone. You get to explore various planets and systems and survive at the same time. Instead of fighting evil aliens or unfriendly spacecraft, you will have to deal with practical things like resource management, checking on your ship’s fuel, oxygen and hull meters, and mining planets that are rich in ores. It might not sound as exciting as an all-out firepower battle, but it is every bit as challenging to try and survive.
The Omega edition adds on to the features of the original game. You now have more than 50 new interactive stories to pursue, 3 new spaceships to use if you want to, 10 new achievements to unlock, and 1 new ending to the whole saga. And let’s hope it ends with you surviving and going back to where you came from.
You can download Out There: Omega Edition from the Google Play Store for $4.99. If you’ve already bought the previous Out There game, then this new one will be free.
