Zettaly initially offered the “Avy” portable wireless speakers through a crowdfunding effort via Kickstarter. That effort did not reach its funding goals, but it did not stop the company from moving forward with its design. What we have now is a unique portable wireless speaker with a 7-inch touchscreen interface, runs Android 4.4 KitKat, and can handle up to 40GB of data.

Who does this for a Bluetooth speaker system? No one we know off, apparently, but Zettaly did it. Its Kickstarter goal was to get USD$50,000 worth of funding, but it pulled the plug on the campaign while the money was at USD$30,000 and rising – the outfit said that it realized it wouldn’t be able to deliver of USD$50k worth of products on time so that their backers were satisfied. The backers were refunded, and also given the chance to purchase the product at early bird prices (USD$100 to $169) – and from the feedback the device is getting, it seems that people are actually happy with it.

It’s a speaker system first and foremost, so it has those 10watt speakers that provide ample portable sound for you, via a Bluetooth connection. The Avy speaker system also lets you stream from internet audio sources like Spotify and Pandora, which is cool. But the game changer supposedly is the Android system capable of playing back media on its 7-inch screen, powered by a quad-core processor, and has 8GB internal storage, expandable by 32GB via microSD.
