The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge may be two of the hottest Android smartphones today but it’s not without any imperfection. A few days ago, we reported that toggles on the phones were missing after the Android 5.1.1 update. A simple hard reset would bring them back so it’s not really a big problem.
However, Samsung wants to provide a more permanent solution to bring those toggles back by releasing a special app. If you own a Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 edge, you can download the QuickPanel Restore app from the Galaxy Apps Store. It’s a quick app fix that adds the toggles back to the quick settings list.
We still have no idea why the toggles went missing but it’s good that Samsung is quick to respond to the problem. It’s just a minor issue but it can be annoying to owners of the flagship phones who are always expecting a smooth mobile experince. Those missing toggles (mobile hotspot, private hotspot, and mobile data) will be restored once you press the Restore button you will see on the screen. After the toggles are put back in their rightful place, another prompt will popup to uninstall the app.
This kind of response from Samsung proves that the South Korean giant knows customer service well. It’s one small problem that can be fixed by a simple restrart but the company has made extra efforts to bring a better solution.
