The next Galaxy Grand Prime is arriving soon. This can be expected almost every year and especially after Samsung has introduced the latest premium flagship phone. We’ve seen the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge already so we’re interested to know when the new Galaxy Grand Prime will be available. This particular phone is popular because of the impressive features and the very affordable price tag that come with it.
This variant, the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime Value Edition, has been spotted online in Taiwan. A certification was also sighted indicating model number SM-G531Y. We’re guessing it will have the standard features and will now run Android 5.0 Lollipop instead of KitKat.
Samsung’s naming most phones with the Galaxy name could be confusing. Aside from the Galaxy Grand Prime series, there’s also the Galaxy x (number), Galaxy Grand Max, and Galaxy Grand Duos.
Grand Prime phones usually have good specs. This special Galaxy Grand Prime Value Edition comes equipped with a 5-inch qHD screen, 960 x 540 pixel resolution, 64-bit quad-core Cortex-A53 Marvell PXA1908 processor, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera, 8GB built-in storage, 1GB RAM, 4G/LTE, and a 2,600 mAh battery.
Not much details have been given but a new Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime Value Edition is always welcome. We’re not sure what the “value” refers to but we’re hoping phone will be more affordable than ever.
