French phone manufacturer ARCHOS has just introduced a pair of 4G-enabled smartphones. Officially known as the 50 Helium Plus and 55 Helium Plus, these models will be available in the market starting July complete with 4G Dual SIM connectivity, HD screens, and affordable price tags ($183 and $213).
Following the main mission of the brand, ARCHOS continues to bring impressive phone performance at lower prices (£119 and £139) compared to competitors. The company’s Helium line has been popular and now it’s been refreshed with the Glass Effect finishing and sleeker design. You can choose from either the White Frost or Jet Black versions. Both phones feature HD resolution, wide viewing angles, brilliant colors, and IPS screen technology.
The ARCHOS Helium smartphones will both run Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. This means they will have an advanced battery life management, more ergonomic user interface, dual SIM card support, and faster performance courtesy of a 64-bit processor.
The ARCHOS 50 Helium Plus and the ARCHOS 55 Helium Plus phone will each have a 13 megapixel rear-facing camera, 5 megapixel front-facing camera, LED flash, and autofocus. The two also feature the ARCHOS Fusion Storage that combines the internal memory with whatever the microSD card brings.
Here’s a rundown of the specs of the two phones:
• 64 Bit1Ghz C Quad Core MediaTek MT6735P
• Mali T720 GPU
• 1280×720 (HD) resolution
• 1GB RAM
• microSD card slot for expansion
• 4G/LTE
• WiFi/Bluetooth 4.0
The two models almost have the same specs except for the screen size, internal storage, and battery. The ARCHOS 55 Helium Plus comes with a Li-on 2400mAh battery while the ARCHOS 50 Helium Plus only has a 2000mAh batt.
