Key Plus is one of those apps that take advantage of the unique volume button placement on LG smartphones, giving you convenient access to launching apps even when the phone is locked.
Basically, the Key Plus app is a boon to LG users because the placement of the volume buttons is just that reachable by the user’s fingers – you can program Key Plus to launch apps when you push volume buttons, but only when the phone is locked. You can program separate actions for the Volume Up or Volume Down button, although the Volume Down button access has been restricted in devices running Android Lollipop.
Users can choose to launch any app installed on their phone. You can also use the built-in flashlight app just by holding the volume key, without even unlocking your phone. Talk about fast access. You can also launch an “Ok Google” voice search prompt, dial a contact directly, or even start Google Maps Navigation. Best of all, root access is not even required?
