When it comes to the camera and its easy functions, some say that Apple has been way ahead of the game in some aspects compared to most Android smartphones, specifically Samsung. People who own both an iOS and Android device (this writer included) would still automatically turn to their iPhone when it comes to picture-taking crunch time, not because it has the best one, but because it is much easier to use.

Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge owners will be happy to know that one of those major easy functions will be coming to their devices soon. When Android 5.1 rolls out, one of the added boosts to the new Samsung Galaxy devices is users will be able to manually adjust the exposure even before taking the picture just by sliding your finger on the screen. While most Android devices can also manually adjust exposure, it is not as easy as how the iPhone does it.

But this time around, it will be as simple as dragging your finger up or down the screen so as to increase or decrease the light exposure before taking the picture. The folks over at SAM Mobile were able to get their hands on an early build of the newest update on their Galaxy S6 edge, and it looks like the new camera feature is working perfectly, giving you more control as you take pictures whether in low light or well lighted locations.

Of course, some would accuse Samsung of “imitating” Apple once again, but isn’t the point of developing all this technology improving the user experience? We’re pretty sure Galaxy S6 and S6 edge users won’t mind where the feature was derived from, as long as they now have the ability to take better pictures.
