For legions of comic book fans, young and old, Stan Lee is a god, having brought to life iconic characters in the Marvel Universe. And for non-comic book fans, he is simply that guy who seems to show up for a few seconds and make people in the theaters gasp (again, the comic book fans) in every Marvel movie. But now he’s taking on the role of a sort of superhero in the new Android game called Stan Lee’s Hero Command.
In this button mashing adventure game, you play an elite agent from the Hero Command, and Stan Lee is your big boss. The mission is simple, and is something that Marvel superheroes are familiar with over and over again: save the world. Here you can be Captain Steamhammer with his super strength and a steam-powered suit, Seer who obviously has psychic powers, or the Twins, a trapeze team who can fly high and do death-defying stunts.
In the Stan Missions mode, you can also play Stan Lee himself, with his trusty invisible watch as you sneak him in covert missions. In the main game, there are three main villains: Lord Hibiculus, Sand Witch, and Zombi, along with a host of their armies which include sand spewing cats, demon zombies, and maniacal gnomes. All of the heroes and villains in the game are new characters from the imagination of Stan Lee himself.
You can download Hero Command for free from the Google Play Store, but with in-app purchases available.. For now, it is only available in limited regions, but hopefully, it will expand its reach soon.
