Tenaa has given up some new images and specifications on a pair of unreleased Samsung Galaxy smartphones this week. Tenaa as most know is the certifying body for electronics in China. It’s no secret that Samsung was working on these devices, but it’s nice to finally get a glimpse at what they look like and learn some of what’s under the hood ahead of the launch.
As you can see in the images here, the two devices look very nearly identical. The Galaxy J5 is tipped to use a 5-inch screen and a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 processor. That processor is backed with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. Storage can be expanded with microSD cards. Power comes from a 2600mAh battery.
The Galaxy J7 rocks a slightly larger 5.5-inch screen and has a larger 3000mAh internal battery. The processor for the Galaxy J7 is a Marvel PXA1936 and the smartphone has 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
Both smartphones have 13MP rear cameras and 5MP front cameras. Dimensions for the J5 put the device at 8.5mm thick and it weighs 149 grams. The J7 is a bit thinner at 7.9mm thick and weighs a bit more at 170g. Both smartphones will use Android 5.0.2.
