Verizon is tempting users who want to upgrade their smartphones by offering up Motorola‘s DROID Turbo, which will be available in Gray Ballistic Nylon (but with some colorful accents to choose from). They are even offering you a big discount if you’d like to turn in your old (but still working) smartphone and buy this new 4G LTE device that claims its battery life lasts longer than most of its kind currently in the market.
The DROID Turbo can supposedly last for 48 hours, even if you use it for taking pictures, watching videos, playing games, etc. And it also boasts of a Turbo Charging feature, where you can get as much as 8 hours of battery life even if you just charge your smartphone in 15 minutes. And since it has LTE connection, you will be able to utilize Verizon’s Advanced Calling 1.0, or HD Voice Calling as well as video calling, using the network. While this smartphone is still on Android KitKat out of the box, Verizon assures that it will be upgraded to Android 5.1 Lollipop soon.
For a limited time, Verizon will be offering you $150 when you give them your old but still good working condition smartphone and you buy the DROID Turbo on their Edge plan. And if you activate a new number on Verizon Edge, you’ll get $100 bill credit within 2-3 billing cycles. You have three options for your DROID Turbo, in terms of design, with Metallic Blue Accents, Metallic Orange Accents, and Metallic Violet Accents.
The DROID Turbo smartphone will be available on Verizon Edge for $20.83 per month for 24 months at 0% APR. The full retail price is $499.99 and it will be online and in stores starting May 28.
