In further confirmation that India is indeed one of the emerging markets for smartphones, Lenovo has launched another one of their budget smartphones there. The new Lenovo S60, codenamed Sisley, is just the latest in a growing number of devices in the S-series which have been compared to the iPhone, at least looks-wise. This smartphone has been recently launched in Russia last month, and now, it’s making its debut in the South Asian region, and maybe make its way to other regions as well.

The S60 runs on a 64-bit quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 mobile chipset and has a 5″ display with 720p iPS. It has a Lenovo Vibe 2.0 UI, which is actually based on Android KitKat. It is rumored that it will be upgraded to Vibe 3.0, which logically, should be based on the latest Android update, Lollipop.

It has a 2GB RAM and an 8GB memory, which seems pretty low, but it can be expanded to 32GB through a microSD card (which may still be pretty low in today’s standards). The smartphone has a 13MP main camera, complete with autofocus and LED flash, while the front-facing camera is a decent 5MP. It has a 2150 mAh battery and weighs just 128 grams and is 7.7mm thick (or thin, if you prefer).

The Lenovo S60 will be available in Thedostore, Flipkart, and Amazon India and will sell for $204 which is relatively cheaper than its price in Russia, which was around $290. The Indian version will just have one color, and that is the Graphite Grey color.
