It’s already become one of the favorite new flagship devices, and Samsung’s marketing for it has gone all-out, but of course, not everything is perfectly smooth with the Samsung Galaxy S6 or the Galaxy S6 edge. Some users have been complaining that a terms and condition page keeps popping up on their screen no matter how many times they press decline. And be careful if you think you should just click agree just to make it go away forever, as you may be agreeing to things you shouldn’t agree to give to Samsung.

One of the new things you have in the Enhanced Features component, which includes the Simple Sharing option. It allows you to send large files or profile information to your smartphone contacts, without having to go through email or your usual cloud services. However, to use it, you would have to agree to the terms and conditions. And if you read the fine print, what you’re agreeing to is giving Samsung the ability to collect your number, messages, and contacts. No one wants that right?

But for some users, pressing decline doesn’t do the trick. The dialog box keeps popping up, sometimes in the most inopportune of times. One helpful user on Google Plus, +Robert Ray says that one solution to this is to shut off the profile sharing option on your profile in the Contacts app. However, even trying to shut that off is making some devices hang in that section as well.

Although it is just a small group of users who are experiencing this problem (mostly T-Mobile users, so it may also be a carrier problem), it is still serious enough for Samsung to address. Some have said they practically can’t use their Galaxy S6 anymore because of that pop-up message, so they should really fix it soon or you might get smartphone rage posts or videos in the very near future.

  1. I’m having the same problem and I’m on Sprint. Trying to disable the profile sharing hangs. Great testing between Samsung and the carriers. Randomware at its most obtrusive.
