If rumors are to be believed, Samsung will be launching its Galaxy Tab S2 sometime next month, and if it will be anything like its previous incarnation, the Galaxy Tab S, then it might be something for Android tablet lovers to look forward to. Initially, it was rumored that it might be even thinner than the thinnest one in the market, which is the iPad Air. But a new leaked image shows that may not be the case, although it still looks pretty thin.
The newest leaked image shared by Twitter account OnLeaks shows that the device has a SIM card slot next to the microSD card slot, which obviously means it will have cellular network connectivity. It looks to be about 5.8 to 5.9mm thin, which, while not as thin as the previous rumors suggested (which placed it at 5.4mm), is still thinner than most premium tablets in the market. But other than the look and that SIM card slot, not much can be gleaned from this image as of yet.
Past rumors regarding the Galaxy Tab S2 said that it will have a metal body and will be running on a 64-bit Exynos processor on a Super AMOLED display with 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution. It will reportedly come in an 8-inch and 9.7-inch model and will sport an 8mp main camera and a 2.1MP front-facing camera. It will also probably have 3GB RAM. Some are hoping its design language will be similar to the recently-launched Samsung Galaxy S6, just like the original Tab S was similar to the previous flagship, the Galaxy S5.
