If you’re waiting for the HTC One M9 Plus to arrive in the United States, I can’t assure you that the bigger sibling of the HTC One M9 is coming. The phone may only be available in Asia but a recent TENAA certification gives us hope that the model, or atleast, might have another variant which could be ready for its Western launch. Nothing is certain yet but now we have an idea that HTC has another unit under its sleeves.
After the HTC One M9 and HTC One M9 Plus, a certain “M9e” has been spotted in a TENAA certification database. The Android smartphone is a bit different though because it doesn’t have any Duo camera and material used is plastic. Specs are so close to HTC One M9+’s 2.2GHz octa-core processor, a 5.2-inch Quad HD display, UltraPixel front camera, 20MP main camera, 3GB RAM, fingerprint reader, and a microSD card slot.
This mystery HTC phone is made with plastic instead of an aluminum unibody. A plastic-made HTC premium phone could mean a cheaper and more affordable HTC One M9e when it’s finally revealed. A plastic one could also be made available in different countries including the US.
For now, be content with the HTC One M9 especially if you’re in the United States and because the phone model is already available in the country. The plastic-made HTC One M9e could be revealed anytime soon as well so let’s just wait and see.
