Chinese computer tech company Lenovo has just added a new product to its ThinkCentre lineup in the form of the ThinkCentre Chromebox. It’s already the biggest PC maker today and yet Lenovo still wants to prove it’s the best by joining the Chromebox game. This new product is exciting as we can add this to the rapidly growing list of Chromebox units available from various manufacturers. This new Chrome-OS running mini computer is designed especially for education and small businesses, even with its compact form, this small computer still impresses with great performance, space-saving solution, and an easy-to-manage ecosystem.
Shown off at the recent Accelerate 2015 Partner Forum in Las Vegas, the ThinkCentre Chromebox is the first Chromebox to be integrated with the ThinkCentre Tiny-in-One for a bigger 23-inch display all-in-one experience. Those business and schools who want secure computer solutions can take advantage of this model because of the easy to use and manage technology. It’s also budget-friendly with a $199 starting price while the ThinkCentre Tiny-in-One is $279. That’s very cheap for a Chromebox that’s reliable, centralized, safe, secure, and efficient.
The ThinkCentre Chromebox is flexible and easy to use. It boasts of a centralized device management that allows safe-browsing policies, system updates, easy deployment of new applications, and secure asset tracking. You’ll find a simple management console that can make the lives of IT managers, teachers, and students easier than ever.
Obviously, this one runs Chrome OS housed in a one liter form. You can easily connect this to other devices and displays for use in schools, homes, offices, or just about anywhere. Since data and apps are saved on the cloud, you can log in to your account if you want to access your data and apps if you’re using another ThinkPad Chromebook or Chromebox. Available this coming June.
