If you have a bunch of different devices that you use for work and play, you might want an external storage solution that will work for all of them. Perhaps you use an iPhone for work, an Android device at home, a Mac for school, and a Windows PC in the office. Being able to save data from each of those devices to a single flash drive would save time for many of us.

This is where the new device called the Flex-Card comes in. Flex-Card is a universal flash drive for all devices. It allows you to copy and move files to and from any of those devices. It can also be used to charge any device from an iPhone to your Android device from the computer without a charging cable.

It also supports streaming of movies and music directly from the Flex-Card device. If you keep your device in a case, the Flex-Drive will work with your device without having to remove the case. No internet connection is needed for moving files to and from the device.

Flex-Card is on Indiegogo looking for funding and has raised 522% of what it needed with over $15,000 raised so far. You can get a 64GB Flex-Card for $139 or more right now with shipping estimated for November 2015.

This is a crowdfunded project, and as such may not deliver what its creators initially promise. Most crowdfunding sites, like Kickstarter and Indiegogo, have policies about what happens to your money if the project fails to deliver on its goals, but choosing to back a project is inevitably a risk. Android Community’s reporting on crowdfunded projects should in no way be seen as an endorsement, unless specifically stated, and we recommend closely examining the terms and conditions to understand your individual rights as a backer before making a pledge.
