If you’re working on a project which deals with a lot of people and a lot of files that are constantly updated, then chances are you’d need a project management tool of some sort to keep everyone in line. While there are a lot of apps out there for this specific purpose, if your group uses Office 365, then this product from Microsoft now available for mobile Android devices, may be the perfect tool for you and your teammates, especially if a lot of you are mobile.
Simply put, Office Delve seeks to update all who are working on a project and helps you work together to reach your goal by keeping your files and details updated. And if you’re using a lot of files (especially revisions that reach to version 1.365 or something), it is crucial that you have these files ready at the tip of your fingers instead of having to search through all the files you’ve already used/saved. By looking at your entire Office 365 eco-system (Office, OneDrive, SharePoint,Outlook, OneNote, etc), it pulls up the relevant documents when you’re speaking to a specific contact.
Delve analyzes the documents, your communications with specific contacts and other pieces of information it can glean from your interactions in order for you to not search anymore (especially if you’re having a hard time recalling what it is you’re supposed to be looking for). Delve will be more effective if it can collect a lot of data, so it is pretty useful for those who constantly use Office 365 and work with a lot of contacts, rather than for those who are just casual users. And don’t worry, your teammates won’t be able to see all your documents, just the ones you’ve shared with your group.
Office Delve is already available for free from the Google Play Store. However, you can only use it if your organization is already using Office 365 and the main Delve program.
