If you are a Verizon subscriber and an LG G3 owner and you’ve been waiting forever for the latest update to your OS, then the wait is almost, nearly over (or by the time of this writing, it might already be over). The carrier finally announced that they will start rolling out the long-awaited Android 5.0 Lollipop to owners of the current LG flagship.

While this may not be the latest (there’s already a 5.1 but only for Nexus devices for now), it’s good enough for now, since other OEMs are still rolling out to their respective devices. The Lollipop is taking its own sweet (get it, sweet? okay moving on) time to arrive to various Android smartphones and tablets, but it seems that it will be worth the wait. Verizon says on their update page that this update will allow other connected screens like TVs, cars and wearables to access the apps and services that are on your devices.

Expect to enjoy as well the other celebrated new features when your device becomes updated, including the Material Design, Smart Lock (using face recognition or just swiping when connected to a trusted Bluetooth device), enhanced notification system (including performing certain actions while on locked screen), screen pinning, floating action buttons as well as an overall UI refresh.

The over-the-air update has started rolling out for Verizon LG G3 starting today. But if you’re too impatient, there are side-loading updates available out there, if you know how to look for them. Otherwise, just be patient a little while longer.
