If you’re a fan of one of the most popular TV series of all time, then you are probably dying from anticipation for the Season 5 premiere of Game of Thrones this coming Sunday. If you’re not yet familiar with this particular game, it is from TellTale, a popular and critically-acclaimed developer of adventure games tie-ins like Borderlands, The Walking Dead, Fables, etc. The Game of Thrones game is particularly popular, not just because of the quality of the game (which is pretty awesome!) but because it also carries the story of a house and its members, the House Forrester, that aren’t included in either the books or the series. So that means you get an additional story, and you even get to play a part in this story.
The game will have six episodes, but only three have been release so far. You get to play various characters, all part of the House Forrester, and interact with “existing” characters from the series. Your game choices determine how the story will play out and all your actions and decisions will affect the other people in the game as well.
The game usually costs $4.99, which already includes the first episode, and each succeeding episode can be purchased in-app for the same price as well. For a limited time, you’ll get both the game and Episode 1 for free, while you get 25% off for the entire season. A season pass costs $20 so might as well get all existing 3 episodes, and then the upcoming other three for 25% off.
