While the world (okay, just the gadget-crazy ones probably) awaits the actual day when Samsung’s Galaxy S6 edge will finally hit the market, the OEM wants to tell us how carefully and intricately made their newest gadget is. In a video and blog post, they share the “in-boxing” story behind this groundbreaking new smartphone, and how everything is fitted within the 142.1 x 70.1 x 7.0mm, 132g body of the Galaxy S6 edge.

Of course the best selling point of the new device is its dual-edge display, which has never been seen before in any other smartphone (so far). The glass that covers the flexible display is actually 3D thermoformed for extra protection. The rear casing meanwhile underwent a multi-coating process, nano-thin of course, so that it can still show off the high-gloss color. To protect your whole device, the metal frame is made up of 6013 aluminum which is stronger and more scratch-resistant than the usual 6063 aluminum. The antenna is also wedged into the frame so it is now more stable and can withstand external impact.

Samsung says that this device is “craftsmanship at its best”, from the aforementioned dual-edge display, to the glass cover, and to the diamond-cut frame. Underneath all that is a 64-bit AP, together with 14nm process, an LPDDR4 RAM and a UFS2.0 user memory to give your device more power. It also has wireless charging coils which supports both the WPC 1.1 and PMA 1.0 formats.
