You would think that a game that just requires you to tap once would eventually bore you to death right? But trust game developers to come up with new ways of making us slaves to our smartphones and spend hours just trying to beat the challenges in minimalist but complicated games. The latest to vie for your attention is called Boom Dots and we wish you luck in trying to escape from its rounded, spiky claws.
The object of the game is to make a floating blob on your device screen explode by hitting it with your smaller blob. Simple enough yes? Of course not! The bigger circles are oscillating and you need perfect timing and the right tap at the right moment in order to make that blob pop. If you totally miss hitting it, your circle will be eviscerated by a wall of spikes.
The game has over 200 challenges, which starts off with something easy like scoring certain number of points, then getting more complicated like asking you to score a certain number of perfects in a row. And if you get bored with just looking at two circles, there are 20 unlockable themes available that will change your circles into different objects. Timing is everything, and you will probably spend hours trying to perfect the way you one-tap that ball into oblivion.
You can download Boom Dots for free from the Google Play Store. There is just one in-app purchase but that is just to remove the ads. That’s a small price to “pay” for playing such an addictive mobile game.
