Unless you’re a distant relative of The Flash or Quick Silver, you’ll never know exactly how it feels to run 140 mph. But a new Android game can give you a close estimation of that feeling. Fotonica is an endless runner unlike any other, as it puts you in the first-person perspective and lets you run through complex environments. It is part of a growing trend of seemingly simple but excitingly complicated games.
If you’re stuck on the train or even on a bus and you have one hand free, theoretically, you can still play this game. It has one-handed controls and all you need to do is to hold your finger down to keep on running, release it if you want to jump, and if you plan on diving and landing, you hold it in mid-air. So yes, in theory, you could play this game while commuting, but just be careful not to startle the person next to you when you start screaming out of excitement and/or frustration.
You have 8 different levels to explore in Fotonica and three different levels in endless mode to try and get the high score. You also get to unlock 18 different achievements in order to unlock plus game stats. If you’re getting bored with the easy level, you can crank it up to another difficulty level in order to play a faster version of the game. The game also has a split screen mode so if you want to have a chase with someone, you can see where he/she is at.
If you’re feeling competitive, you can check out the online rankings to see how you fare. You can buy Fotonica from the Google Play Store for a one-time purchase of $0.99.
