Gone are the days when you spent all your time scouring for job openings in newspapers or going from one job agency to another. Even with all the technology today, it’s still a pretty stressful task to jump from one link to another, trying to look for that next gig that would give you a regular paycheck. The largest professional/social network LinkedIn has now added another app to its roster, which should help you make the job seeking a little easier.

LinkedIn Job Search (you won’t go any simpler than that!) says it will give you “all the tools you need to easily find your dream job”. We wish it was really that easy, but at least it will make the process less complicated. The job search parameters in this app are based on the job designation, the location of the job, and even certain keywords. It’s easy to manuever through the app as there is an action bar at the top of all the main pages as well as left and right hand navigation menus.

The app will also recommend jobs to you based on your past searches, the ones you’ve actually viewed, and of course, based on your LinkedIn profile. Applying for these jobs is also easier, as you can just use your profile to do so. You can also choose to receive notifications everytime a new job comes in that matches what you’re looking for. But if you’re looking for every job ever made, then maybe you’d think twice about turning on that notification.

One of the best things about the app is that your entire network will not see your activities, if you’re a bit embarrassed by that. You can download the LinkedIn Job Search app for free from the Google Play Store.
